Shenzhen Sunmy Hardware Co., Ltd. supplies build-to-print shafts from customer drawings or physical samples. Material grade, diameter fits, shoulder locations, runout, surface finish and inspection requirements are agreed during engineering review. The review focuses on how the shaft locates, connects and is retained within the assembly. Buyers can specify the shaft profile and end configuration together, with application, loading and service-environment requirements included in the RFQ.
Specifications follow the approved drawing and quotation. The table lists customization options, not measured dimensions or verified performance ratings for the photographed parts:
| Parameter | Technical Description / Requirements | Customization Scope |
| Product Type | Precision turned stepped shaft with collar and machined end features | Slotted or clevis-style end variants per approved drawing |
| Primary Process | CNC turning, milling, drilling, grooving and tapping | Turn-mill or separate operations; grinding evaluated if specified |
| Material Grades | Stainless steel options for review: 303, 304, 316L, 17-4PH, 416, 420, 430 | Carbon steel, alloy steel, brass or titanium subject to project review |
| Machining Tolerances | Diameter fits, lengths and feature tolerances per approved drawing | Critical limits confirmed after material and geometry review |
| Geometric Tolerances | Shaft runout, shoulder-face and feature-location requirements per drawing | Datum system, measuring method and acceptance criteria agreed |
| Dimensional Capacity | Outer diameters, step lengths and overall length supplied in the RFQ | Feasibility and workholding assessed for the requested dimensions |
| Functional Features | Stepped diameters, collar, ring groove, cross-hole and machined end features | Clevis or slot end, tapped bore, flats, keyways or other specified features |
| Surface Roughness | Surface finish specified separately for journals, milled faces and other areas | Grinding or polishing evaluated for the drawing requirements |
| Surface Treatments | Deburring and cleaning; passivation or polishing when specified | Other finishes evaluated for grade compatibility and application |
| Quality Inspection | Dimensional and visual inspection to the agreed inspection plan | FAI and material records by agreement; PPAP scope requires confirmation |
| Drawing Formats | STEP, IGES, PDF, DWG and DXF; native CAD files by confirmation | Provide critical dimensions, datums, thread details and finish requirements |
| MOQ & Prototype | Prototype, pilot and repeat-production quantities quoted individually | Share first-order quantity, annual demand and sample requirements |
| Production Lead Time | Confirmed after drawing, material, quantity and finishing review | Prototype approval and repeat-order schedules agreed separately |
A: Machining and inspection follow the datum system and tolerances on the approved drawing. The review covers diameter fits, shaft runout, shoulder positions, cross-hole location and end-slot geometry separately. The process may use turn-mill machining or separate fixtured operations. Measuring methods and inspection frequency are agreed before production; CMM inspection or dedicated gauges are selected where appropriate.
A: Yes. We support build-to-print manufacturing and sample-based development. Send a STEP or IGES model with a dimensioned PDF drawing showing critical fits, datums, threads, finish and material requirements. For sample-based projects, the reproduced geometry and any unknown specifications require customer approval before production. Include your first-order quantity and expected repeat demand for the manufacturing review.
A: The documentation package is agreed at quotation stage. It may include material certificates, dimensional inspection records, first article results and specified finishing or test reports. Request the required characteristics, sampling level and report format before ordering. PPAP documentation, additional testing and compliance declarations require separate scope confirmation; they are not automatically included with every shipment.
A: Lead time is quoted after reviewing the released drawing, material availability, quantity, fixturing, inspection and any heat treatment or surface finishing. Prototype approval and repeat-production schedules are agreed separately. Provide your required delivery date so the project can be evaluated against the available manufacturing schedule. Expedited production is subject to confirmation, not a fixed published promise.
A: Packaging is selected around the shaft length, surface finish, exposed threads and end geometry. Options include individual trays, compartment dividers or protective mesh sleeves to limit contact between parts. Moisture protection and outer export packaging are agreed for the material, storage period and shipping method. Specify any cleanliness, identification or customer packaging requirements in the RFQ.
Don't let tolerance stack-up delay your product launch. Submit your project details, and our engineering team will evaluate your design for manufacturability before the first cut.
